Welcome to our little corner of the internet.
If you’ve found your way here, thank you for taking the time to learn about the family behind Beyond the Diagnoses.
We are a family of six, navigating life together, celebrating every victory, supporting one another through challenges, and making memories along the way.
Chloe (Mum)

I’m Chloe, the voice behind this blog.
I started Beyond the Diagnoses to share our family’s journey, raise awareness of rare chromosome conditions, and show that a diagnosis is only one small part of a person’s story.
Being a mum is the greatest privilege of my life, and through this blog I hope to give an honest insight into our world — the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
Lewis (Dad)

Lewis is Isla’s dad and my biggest support.
He is the calm in the chaos, the person who keeps us grounded, and someone who loves his family fiercely.
No matter what challenges come our way, Lewis is always there beside us.
Isla

Isla is the inspiration behind this blog.
She has a rare Chromosome 2q37.3 deletion and Chromosome 8p21.2 duplication, alongside other complex needs.
But Isla is so much more than a diagnosis.
She is funny, determined, loving, brave, and has the most beautiful smile.
Every day she teaches us something new about strength, resilience and finding joy in the little things.
Violet (Little Sister)

Violet is two years old and Isla’s little sister.
Although she is younger, she has grown up knowing that her family life looks a little different to some others.
To Violet, Isla isn’t a diagnosis or a list of medical terms — she is simply her big sister.
She is full of love, personality and energy, and watching their bond grow is something I treasure every day.
Arthur (Baby Brother)

Arthur is the youngest member of our family at just six months old.
He has already brought so much joy, laughter and love into our home.
As he grows up alongside his sisters, we look forward to watching the special bond they will share and the memories they will make together.
Jill & Gary (Nanny & Grandad)

The people who cheer the loudest, love the hardest and stand beside us through it all.
Nanny Jill and Grandad Gary with Isla, Violet and Arthur.
No family page would be complete without Nanny Jill and Grandad Gary.
They have been by our side through every chapter of our journey, celebrating the milestones, supporting us through the challenges and loving our children unconditionally.
To Isla, Violet and Arthur, they are more than grandparents. They are playmates, storytellers, cheerleaders and a constant source of love and comfort.
Whether it’s lending a helping hand, offering support when we need it most or simply making memories together, their role in our family is priceless.
We are incredibly grateful for everything they do and for the love they give so freely.
Family means everything to us, and we are lucky to have Nanny Jill and Grandad Gary beside us every step of the way.
Our Family
Life doesn’t always go the way we imagined.
There have been challenges, difficult days and moments of uncertainty.
But there has also been love, laughter, determination and countless reasons to be grateful.
This blog is our way of sharing that journey.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know our family and being part of our journey.
